Student Card
All students at ۶Ƶ are required to obtain a Lithuanian Student Identity Card (LSIC), known as LSP in Lithuanian. Below are the key reasons why having an LSIC is useful:
- It is required to access University library services.
- It serves as the official proof of your student status at ۶Ƶ (especially during exams).
- It provides various discounts at theatres, cinemas, and many other cultural, leisure, and commercial venues.
- It offers reduced fares for public transport in major Lithuanian cities, as well as for intercity bus and train travel.
The price of the LSIC for one or two semesters is 6.00 EUR.
Getting your LSIC:
You can register on the LSIC online system at as soon as you receive your acceptance letter from ۶Ƶ. However, please note that you will only be able to order your LSIC once the University has registered your data in the system. This process is usually completed in the second half of August for the Autumn semester and in the second half of January for the Spring semester, so there is no need to worry or take action before then.
A detailed description of the LSIC application procedure can be found on the ۶Ƶ Student Representation website: .
Identity Management System
The Identity Management System identifies user and provides access to VU electronic services. All international students must register at the Identity Management System at to be able to access all of the IT services provided at ۶Ƶ. The registration should be done as soon as the semester begins.
Students services like personal email, eStudent Information system, Virtual Learning Environment, Virtual Library and Internet access can be accessed after registering at the Identity Management System.
VU SSO (Single Sing On) permits user to use one Login Name and Password for all VU e-Service.
Check the website for more information.
Registration in Lithuania
All EU citizens coming for a longer period than 3 months studies must register at the Migration Office and the local authority body called Seniunija. All non EU citizens coming for exchange studies for any study period must get Visa D. All information about it is available on VU website or .
Making changes to the Study Plan in the VU Information System
During the first two weeks of each semester students can make the changes to their Study Plans using the . Once the changes are confirmed by the coordinators of the faculties, students are officially enrolled to their chosen courses. The changes should be done in the System by:
- 16 September – in Autumn semester
- 18 February – in Spring semester
Please note that:
It is not possible to add any new courses after the deadline mentioned above. However, removing courses from your study plan is allowed during the semester. If you wish to do so, please inform the exchange student coordinator via email.
Changes to Learning Agreement
After the changes to the study plan are made in the University Study System, they must be listed in the “During the Mobility” part of the Learning Agreement. Once you have completed and signed your document, please send it to the exchange student coordinator.
- If your Learning Agreement is a PDF document, send it by email to .
- If your Learning Agreement is completed online (EWP system), please make sure to mark the receiving institution’s email as .
The end of the semester
There are some important things students should be aware of at the end of semester and/or before leaving ۶Ƶ.
The results of all passed exams will be recorded by lecturers in the University database (VU IS) within 5 days after the official date of the exam. Student’s Transcript of Records (ToR) will be issued automatically from the University database as soon as all the examination data of the student exams is recorded. Usually, ToRs are issued within two weeks after the end of a semester (middle of February in Autumn semester and middle of July in Spring).
Once the document is ready, it will be sent to your and your coordinator email address. If it is necessary, the hard copy of the document can also be sent to your address.
Confirmations of study period can be issued at the end of your semester. The documents are all signed digitally, please send the required document to us via the email.
Students who arrived for the whole year will receive their ToRs after both semesters have been completed.
Student’s Questionnaire. Did you enjoy your stay at ۶Ƶ? In order to improve our work you will be asked to complete the Questionnaire which will be sent to you at the end of a semester by e-mail.
